Working with Chilewich, a well-establish home goods company, we were given a brief asking how they can appeal to a younger consumer demographic. We created a premium yoga mat using Chilewich's signature Shag textile that serves as both fitness equipment and home decor. Our solution addresses a market gap where functional mats lack aesthetics and vice versa.
Through research with younger consumers who value design and fitness, we developed a mat construction featuring the Shag Collection's exceptional grip properties, supportive cushioning, and stability. The innovative wall-mounting system transforms the mat into decorative wall art when not in use, eliminating storage issues while enhancing living spaces.
This product extends Chilewich into the growing premium fitness market while leveraging their existing distribution networks and manufacturing capabilities. Our concept "made to move, designed to stay" embodies their commitment to beauty, functionality, and longevity in everyday objects that seamlessly integrate into the homes of design-conscious consumers.

The Green Space Initiative partners with local community gardens, businesses, and volunteers to host appealing outdoor events and activities, such as gardening classes, meditation sessions, and movie screenings. Affordable ticket sales ($7-15) and vendor partnerships generate revenue, supplemented by grants and donations. The project is rolled out in phases, beginning with foundational setup, then community building, and finally full-scale operations to hold frequent, well-attended events across multiple sites.
Ultimately, the initiative aims to have 500 Lower East Side residents spending 5+ hours outdoors per week, with 8 monthly events averaging 40 attendees each, resulting in improved mental health, stronger community ties, and a vibrant network of active green spaces.
